Donation Supports Volunteer Trail Patrol Program in Big Cypress as Part of Ongoing Effort to Encourage Safe, Responsible Riding and Sustainable, Open Riding Areas Inside of Big Cypress National Preserve.

Miami, FL – November 23, 2023

The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks is thrilled to announce that Yamaha has awarded a generous grant of $22,806 to support the Volunteer Trail Patrol Program in Big Cypress National Preserve. This crucial funding will be used to enhance the safety, responsibility, and sustainability of riding areas within the preserve. The primary objective of the Volunteer Trail Patrol Program is to have volunteers on the trails to assist with restoring, monitoring, and maintaining the expansive trail system located within the preserve’s boundaries.

“Yamaha’s grant will provide our organization with the necessary funds to get the Volunteer Trail Patrol program back up and running. We are excited to get out into the preserve and help provide access to visitors,” said CEO Jamie Diptee-Bay.
