Volunteer Event Part II – Tree Planting in Big Cypress

August 4, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Volunteer with the SFNPT  in Big Cypress National Preserve!

On Saturday August 4th we will plant trees at restoration sites along Turner River and/or Birdon Road. Planting is hard work, but it is a rewarding experience that helps improve park habitat and benefits native plants and wildlife. We can’t do this project without the support of awesome volunteers! Read more about the Ochopee Sheetflow Restoration Project

This project is made possible through the generous support of the Guerra Family Foundation. Thank you for your continued support of South Florida’s national parks!

When: Saturday August 4 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Where: Meeting at HP Williams Road Side Park (meeting details will be given to all guests who RSVP)

What To Bring: Lots of water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and close-toed shoes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. We will be planting in areas with standing water so dry shoes and clothing to change into after the event is recommended.
