Tamiami Trail Triathlon

The final ranger-led Tamiami Trail Triathlon of the season takes place Sunday April 2 starting at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center at Everglades National Park with a round-trip paddle to Sandfly Island. The paddle trip is followed by a hike in Big Cypress and a bike ride in Shark Valley. Folks who finish all three legs receive a t-shirt, compliments of the South Florida National Parks Trust. The ranger-led event is free, but reservations are required (239-695-3311) and participants must bring their own bikes for the final leg of the triathlon.
Park visitors can complete the Tamiami Trail Triathlon at any time of year, on their own and at their own pace, one leg at a time.
The ranger-led triathlon gives visitors a chance to complete all three legs of the event in one day, with a ranger in the lead.
