Filmmaking and Conservation Across South Florida’s National Parks and Cuba
It’s the bug days of summer in south Florida, but don’t let that stop you from experiencing your national parks. Join us at Lincoln’s Beard Brewery for local brews and tales of exploration and conservation by filmmaker Richard Kern from Odyssey Earth. Come along as Richard shares his work in Everglades, Biscayne, and Big Cypress. Get a big picture look at our South Florida national parks through his newest projects working in parallel ecosystems on the island of Cuba.

Biography: Richard S. Kern has a BA in Literary and Cultural Studies from the College of William and Mary where he graduated in 2002. His interests in nature and art and his experiences with his filmmaking parents have equipped him to join the Odyssey Earth team. Last year he presented his film Empires of the Sun to over 40,000 middle and senior high school students.
