Learn about the “Mission 66” program that transformed Flamingo in the 1960s and current plans to restore Flamingo to its former glory as a gateway to Florida Bay and the Everglades.
ABOUT THE EVENT: Meet at the Ernest Coe Center at 9:00 AM for registration and a welcome by Superintendent Pedro Ramos, then board the bus for a 3 hour round-trip to Flamingo. The grants will be awarded to the national parks that win the most public votes during an online voting campaign from May 25 to July 5.
