Bass Pro Shops Awards $10,000 Grant to Support Educational Programs!

We are thrilled to announce that The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks has received a generous $10,000 grant from Bass Pro Shops! This support will help fund our educational programs across four of Florida’s national parks: Everglades, Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Big Cypress National Preserve.

Our Educational Programs
Thanks to this grant, over 75,000 kids have participated in our programs this year. Here’s a glimpse of what programs we’ve helped fund:

Everglades National Park
Junior Ranger Program: Kids learn about the Everglades through fun activities.
School Field Trips: Students explore unique habitats and wildlife.
Writing Expedition: High schoolers express their experiences through creative writing.

Biscayne National Park
Marine Biology Workshops: Teaching kids about coral reefs and marine ecosystems.
Seagrass Adventures: Exploring underwater worlds and the importance of seagrasses.

Dry Tortugas National Park
Coral Reef Education: Hands-on learning about coral conservation.
Fort Jefferson Tours: Historical insights and exploration of the fort.

Big Cypress National Preserve
SWAMP Program: 6th graders become “scientists for a day,” conducting tests and tracking wildlife.
Ranger-Led Field Trips: Interactive learning experiences in diverse habitats.
