History-makers; Biscayne National Park Pioneers Tell Their Stories
HOMESTEAD, FL – Biscayne National Park is hosting a free discussion with local history-makers about the creation of the park 50 years ago. The discussion takes place on Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center auditorium.
When two large development proposals threatened Biscayne Bay a small but persistent group led the charge to protect the area and make it a national park. Pioneers and panelists discussing these events include:
