Butterfly and Bird Day

The Miami Blue Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association, Tropical Audubon Society and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation & Open Space offer a full day of programs, nature walks, displays, children’s activities and plant sales featuring the birds and butterflies of South Florida as part of this special event at Castellow Hammock Preserve and Nature Garden in Miami. Admission is free. Elsa Alvear from Biscayne National Park talks about the park’s endangered butterflies at 2:00 PM. Other speakers include Roger Hammer, Brian Raposa, and Rick Cech.
